Responding to climate change legislation, the increasing cost of power, and health and safety obligations, organisations are ever more aware of the benefits of working with a competent, responsive and effective electrical contractor.
Smart Power undertakes both major project work and ongoing maintenance of electrical installations for housing associations, manufacturing plants, and commercial organisations: everything from the main fuse right through to the final socket on the circuit.
Legislation brings with it certification and administration. Smart Power's senior electricians are 'Approved Certifiers of Electrical Installations' and are qualified to issue certificates of construction upon completion of a project. The certificate confirms that all work has been undertaken in accordance with the standards set down in BS7671. Smart Power ensures that certificates of construction are issued quickly and in the correct format. The same approach is adopted for full fixed wiring inspections, Portable Appliance Testing (PAT), and Energy Performance Certificates (EPC).
Approved Certifiers of Electrical Installations
Choosing to use an organisation employing an Approved Certifier of Construction is of benefit because the local authority Building Standards departments, who act as Verifiers under this scheme, must accept a valid certificate of construction relating to the building work performed as a record of compliance with the building regulations. This means that the certified installation does not require additional checks by the Verifier. This can result in more efficient processes of construction and certification overall, benefiting all parties involved.
Our philosophy
Constantly looking for ways in which it can better serve its customers, Smart Services has recently become an approved installer of Ecodan air source heat pumps. To find out more click here.
